My name is Susan Silverman. I am a rare bird. I am a native Houstonian, born and raised, educated in Houston, Texas.
I am currently retired, but I have had an outstanding business career in the banking industry.
I was the owner of a business called ‘Wounded Frog, LTD’ currently closed. I served as the Chairperson of the Greater Southwest Chamber of Commerce, having won the highest award for contributions to the Chamber and to the community.
I bring numerous knowledge of business strategies to the CBFL Board as well as a knowledge of owning a business valuable to the organization. I understand marketing strategies, logos, networking, and community outreach.
I am a widow. I currently spend my time in working for nonprofits. I currently serve as a board member of the CBFL and I support the creator and corporate sponsor of the Mike Martin Foundation that provides ‘annual tokens of appreciation’ to the employees of the CBFL.
I have a few hobbies that I enjoy such as reading and taking impromptu road trips with my friends.
