My name is Raul Tello. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico. I have lived in Houston for over 30 years. I am currently retired and serve as a realtor in southwest Houston.
My professional background is in serving for over 20 years Persons with Disabilities. I have served as a President of the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of the Employment of People with Disability organization for 12 years. I served a nonprofit professional organization of the Texas Rehabilitation Association Network for 16 years. TRAN is an advocacy organization working with congressmen and senators in Washington D.C. to enhance the service delivery to persons with disabilities via the State Of Texas Vocational Rehabilitation program. I also served as a certified vocational rehabilitation counselor, a certified public manager, and a certified administrator in the State of Texas Vocational Rehabilitation program for over 15 years.
I will bring the following professional experiences: public relations, human resources, training of staff, understanding government policies and procedures, disability advocacy and diversity cultural awareness.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Selina Tello, for over 40 years.
I enjoy the following hobbies, cross country traveling, meeting with people from all cultures, and staying involved with advocacy efforts.
